Moving furniture, organizing things, hanging pictures, and creating different looks was considered a fun hobby. Every opportunity to experiment with paint, make crafts, or build something from the garage scraps was thoroughly explored.
After completing her Associates degree in Design Merchandising, Sandy then graduated from California State University,
Fullerton with a Business degree in 1985. Soon
after college, Sandy launched her career in
corporate sales. During this time, friends and
family were accustomed to Sandy's open attitude
towards sharing her talent and enthusiasm for
design. Always willing to help, more than one
living room received an unexpected facelift
during what started out as a friendly visit!
Her own home was also constantly evolving with
new design ideas and projects. It was this burning
desire to better utilize her creative talents
that motivated Sandy to leave corporate sales
after a career that spanned almost 20 years.
In 2004 she joined a national design organization
called IRIS, Interior Redesign Industry Specialists.
Under the leadership of a sanctioned instructor,
she completed their Professional Training Program
and was certified as a Redesign Specialist in
April of 2004. Re-Style Interiors was launched a few short months later.
